EasyJet Suspends Pilot After Nude, Drunken Rampage at Luxury Resort

EasyJet suspends a pilot following a naked, inebriated rampage at a luxury resort during a night of outrageous behaviour.
After a confusing and incredibly unprofessional episode at the Meliá Dunas Beach Resort & Spa in Cape Verde, an EasyJet pilot has been officially suspended.
The Events At The Resort
Numerous sources state that soon after arriving at the opulent hotel, the anonymous captain, who was reportedly far above the legal limit, started an all-night drinking binge. On August 5, at around 2:30 a.m., he entered the reception area and then the spa and gym, absolutely nude and obviously drunk, shocking the resort’s visitors. He was characterised as “paralytic” by onlookers, who also noticed a heavy alcohol odour following him.

Despite the bar being closed, witnesses remembered the pilot, who was reeking of alcohol, strolling around public areas. In addition to being disturbing, the behaviour went too far in the direction of dangerous negligence, especially considering his field of work.
EasyJet Action After The Incident
The airline acted quickly after being alerted. For the return flight to London Gatwick, which was planned for the next afternoon, the airline promptly removed the pilot from duty and made arrangements for a replacement.
A representative for the airline acknowledged that an official inquiry is currently in progress and reiterated that the safety of its passengers and crew is its top concern.

The airline’s anonymous source called the incident “breathtakingly unprofessional” and implied that the pilot’s career “is doomed” if the public learns about this behaviour.
Summary
An experienced EasyJet pilot has been suspended and is the subject of an internal inquiry for his drunken, nude outing at a posh resort. His actions, which have been described as unreasonably reckless, raise concerns about pre-flight conduct norms and cast a shadow over aviation professionalism.
