Manager Reveals Cause of Gogo Gloriose’s Death: “Seizure Attacks”

Rwandan gospel singer Gloriose Musabyimanna—known affectionately as “Gogo Gloriose”—tragically passed away on the morning of September 4, 2025, while receiving medical care in a Kampala hospital. At 36 years old, she had travelled from Rwanda to Uganda to attend a religious crusade and planned to return home but fell ill before her return could take place.
Following the news of her passing, her Ugandan friend and fellow musician, Bruno K, took to social media to share the heartbreaking news. In response, Gogo’s manager—known affectionately as Fik—spoke out through a TikTok live broadcast to address mounting speculation and provide clarity on what led to her untimely death.
Seizure Attacks and Epilepsy Indications: Causes Of Gogo Gloriose’s Death
Fik revealed that Gloriose had been experiencing seizure episodes for some time, though these had not been disclosed publicly. Only recently had the seizures become frequent enough to cause concern. He mentioned that she had experienced two episodes on the day she died, prompting an urgent trip to Kyengera Doctors Hospital. Sadly, she passed away soon after being admitted.

During the TikTok live, the manager stated, “She used to have seizure attacks, and we decided to keep her away from the public. I believe she died because of epilepsy attacks. On Monday, she had two seizure attacks before she died… Unfortunately, she died in the hospital.”
Addressing Rumors and Misinformation
In addition to revealing the cause, Fik strongly refuted unverified claims suggesting foul play. He dismissed rumours that Gogo had been poisoned or that witchcraft played a role in her death. “I have been with her most of the time. Everything she eats, I am the one who has been preparing it. Where did you get the information that she died from poisoning? Stop spreading false information,” he urged, reaffirming that her passing was a natural result of her health condition

A Personal Loss and A Sole Family Connection
Emotionally devastated, Fik described the deep personal bond he shared with Gloriose. He revealed that she had lost all her close relatives in the 1994 Rwandan genocide, making him the closest thing she had to family. “I have lost a sister, an artist, and a friend. Gogo’s family was killed in the 1994 Rwandan genocide, and I was the only family she had,” he said, underscoring the depth of his grief
Appeal for Assistance with Repatriation and Funeral Costs
Adding to his mourning, the manager also made a heartfelt public plea for help. Gogo had passed away in a foreign country, and Fik revealed the financial challenges he faced—covering hospital bills, purchasing a coffin, and repatriating her remains to Rwanda. “I need help. We need money to pay the hospital bill, buy her a coffin, and give her a befitting send-off. My prayer is you help me fly her body back home… I will have fulfilled my promise to Gogo,” he emotionally appealed
A Final Farewell: Her Last Recorded Words
In the days following her death, a poignant video captured two days before her passing resurfaced, intensifying the sense of loss among fans. In the video, she shared a casual moment with Bruno K over soda. When asked for her last words, she softly replied, “Gudubye” (Goodbye), a farewell that now carries profound emotional weight
